PATCHWORK DEVON POUCH

I’ve honestly lost count of how many Devon Pouches I’ve sewn over the years! It’s one of those projects I never seem to get tired of making, and it’s a favorite to give as a handmade gift.

Most of the time I stick with a single fabric print, or maybe add a contrasting pocket for a little extra detail. But this time I decided to do something different and make it completely scrappy, and I’m so glad I did!

Digging through my favorite fabric scraps and pairing them with my striped zippers was such a fun part of the process. (If you love striped zippers as much as I do, click here to check out my favorites!)

I used a different print for each of the front panels, and pieced the top part for extra scrappiness. For the back panel, I pieced together a selection of scraps, added fusible fleece, and quilted it for a little extra texture and structure.

What do you think? Quite a looker, isn’t she? I absolutely love how this patchwork Devon Pouch turned out.

So the next time you’re tempted to toss your leftover pieces of fabric into the scrap bin, give them a new life in a Devon Pouch instead.

This pattern comes in two sizes, and this is the large size. It’s the perfect size for pencils, makeup, sewing supplies, or all those little essentials that always seem to get lost at the bottom of your purse. Practical, pretty, and a wonderful way to make the most of every last scrap!

And, if you'd like a little extra guidance along the way, I've got you covered. I also created a video tutorial that shows you the entire sewing process, making it easy to follow along at your own pace.

Happy sewing, friends!
