I have a new video tutorial to share with you today! This time, we’re making the Megan Foldover Tote, a stylish and versatile bag that gives you two looks in one.
Wear it as a classic, elegant tote or fold it over for a more relaxed look. The choice is yours!
Megan finishes at 11" wide x 13" tall x 4" deep, and it’s designed with both style and practicality in mind.
The bag features a spacious exterior zipper pocket, perfect for keeping your phone, glasses, keys, and other everyday essentials close at hand. Inside, you’ll find an additional slip pocket for a little extra organization, while the magnetic snap closure keeps everything safely tucked away yet easily accessible.
You can use webbing or leather for your handles, or create your own fabric handles, the pattern includes instructions for both options.
Whether you prefer the classic tote style or love the casual foldover look, the Megan Foldover Tote is a lovely everyday companion.
So, grab your materials, follow along with the video tutorial, and let’s make this stylish bag!
Here are links to some of the supplies and materials I used to make this cutie.
Fabric - Essex Linen + beautiful Nature’s Gift in taupe by Sharon Holland
Fusible Fleece and Medium Weight Fusible Interfacing
Zipper - my very favorite striped #5 zipper by the foot
Cotton Webbing for the handles and strap
Adjustable Strap Hardware - D-rings, Strap Slider, and Swivel Hooks
And if you need a little extra help with the adjustable strap, check out my blog post HERE, where I walk you through the process step by step.
Happy sewing, friends! Svetlana
